The softness of a gentle breeze during sharp dawn

Transports tranquility through the electric air;

Wispy clouds lazily streak across the heavens

As scintillating colors radiate across all spectra;

Such a marvelous sight prophesies certain terror

Of violent vortices and rushing waters;

Mother Nature's beauty and brawn

Bends to the will of no human;

Dragonfly

Glassy wings slice the air,
As emerald missiles hover above the shimmering beyond;
Soulless, mechanical hunger
Beckons the creatures through endless tiny pinpricks;
Dance your drunken duet,
Ensure the future generation's survival.

Wool

Ewe allow me to live in worlds of cold and darkness;
Ewe keep my extremities warm and dry,
Ewe embrace my skin like a mother's caress;
Ewe give me permission to enter dreamland,
Ewe help me understand myself;

For all these reasons, I thank Ewe.

Spoon

Simple adornment accentuating its sensual curves, 

The primitive tool lies in wait;

Be it cereal, soup, ice cream, or rice,

Its usefulness stands through time;

Oh wonderous steely twig, 

Help me in my time of need.

Scarecrow

As midday blazes with the heat of a crackling torch,
One man stands, a cornfield watchman, duties never ceasing;
The Enemy gather in dive-bomb positions, readying hungry tongues for the golden feast,
He is our only only chance of survival, our only chance of hope;
A veritable Jesus Christ, sacrificing himself for the greater good,
I do not envy thee, guardian of foodstocks.

What sort of blog is this, anyhow?

Allow me to clarify the purpose of this blog. I have realized that my creativity has been lacking throughout the years. I want to improve my thought-flow process and creativity. As a result, I will be periodically writing short (or long) poems about random objects. I hope you all enjoy and feel free to leave comments about my work!

Cactus

O, how the world would be less without a cactus,
Its hair-raising exterior merely an icy shield for its inner, soft mass;
Behold Darwin, Evolution at its finest, the lifeblood of the desert;
Excuse me while I pull these spines out of my ass.
